Irony :Viewers criticise Muslim woman who spoke about ‘standing together’ while wearing a burka emblazoned with a pistol, grenade and a machine gun

This is the bizarre moment a newsreader interviews a Muslim woman who denounces terrorism – while wearing a burka emblazoned with a grenade and machine gun. Krishnan Guru-Murthy spoke to the woman live on Channel 4 News in the aftermath of the Manchester terror attack. The interviewee, known only as ‘Sid’, tells him she is “devastated” about the bombing and denounces radicalism, saying: “This is not what our Islam teaches us.” But viewers noticed the interviewee’s black burqa features a well-known gangster logo which spells out the word ‘love’ in weapons.

The woman, named only as ‘Sid’, was part of a group of Muslims interviewed by Channel 4 News journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy in the Rusholme area of Manchester, which is hope to the largest Libyan community in Europe. The group vehemently condemned the Manchester Arena attack by 22-year-old suicide bomber Salman Abedi, who is of Libyan descent.
