Girl, 18, is killed and 22 injured in New York’s Times Square

Girl, 18, is killed and 22 injured in New York’s Times Square as ex-military man with history of drunk driving ‘drove up sidewalk for THREE BLOCKS after smoking pot’ before trying to flee police.

This is the shocking moment the crazed driver behind the deadly crash in New York City’s Times Square tried to flee police (left) with flailing arms after plowing a car (bottom right) into pedestrians for three blocks. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Richard Rohas of the Bronx, was dramatically taken into custody on Thursday after crashing into pedestrians on the sidewalk, killing an 18-year-old girl (top right) and seriously injuring 22 others. Police said Rohas got into a fistfight with an officer as they struggled to arrest him (top left), before he was eventually tackled to the ground and bundled into a squad car. Rojas, a US military veteran who has a criminal history including two DWIs, reportedly told police he had been smoking marijuana before the incident occurred.
