Elgan Varney (right) called for a change in the law to provide anonymity to those charged with but not convicted of sexual offences after he was acquitted of raping Hannah Stubbs (left). Hannah, of Stafford, killed herself in August 2015 while police were investigating her claims against Mr Varney. Both were students at Keele University.
